Infolink Marketing Mailer 1.2 is a tool you will instantly like. The Marketing Mailer is an advanced e-mail distribution tool, designed to help you manage your e-mail marketing efforts. With Marketing Mailer, or simply IMM, it’s easy to send the right message to the right people. Once you integrate IMM into your site, surfers can subscribe to it via the Contact Us form. The site owner, the webmaster, or your marketing staff can then use IMM to send personalized marketing messages to a group of subscribers based on geographical locations or interests. This release of Marketing Mailer incorporates Import/Export functionality and uses PCM (Explorer 5.5 and above.)
What makes IMM really great:
• Support of full HTML-formatted messages by using pre-designed templates. When you compose a new message, you can select one of the preinstalled templates, highlighting your corporate/organizational image. See our accompanying product IMM Template for more information.
• You have the ability to upload images and use them in your communications.
• You can include attachments in your messages.
• An improved HTML Editor (PCM 2.6) for easier message composition.
• Ability to preview the message.
• Incorporates Import/Export functionality.
• Use of special tags to personalize every message. For example, you can make IMM send a message that greets everyone by their first name (e.g. “Hello Carlos”, “Hello Roxana”, or “Hello Richard”). Among the special tags you will find:
• Name
• Address.
• Email.
• Message Subject.
• Today’s date and time.
• IMM works with Access and SQL Server databases. Choose the one that meets your needs.
To begin using the IMM, select the “IMM” section of the administration system website. Selecting this function provides you with the following window:

Marketing Mailer –Use the Marketing Mailer page to manage the following sections:
Through the “Send a Message” section you may send personalized marketing messages to a group of subscribers based on geographical locations or interests.

You may also see a list of subscribers and the email addresses associated with your website, simply choose the “search” button and the following window will appear.

Delete: To delete a subscriber from the list, simply check in the appropriate box and select the “Delete” button on the bottom of the page. A message window will appear to validate the deletion before the category is deleted.
Compose Message: If you desire to send an email to the right person select the “Compose Message” on the bottom of the page and the following window will appear.

Use our HTML Editor to compose your message. Marketing Mailer has a new version of the editor that allows you to include images and manipulate them within the mail message. You can create your own template for your message.
As you may guess, the HTML Editor brings a What You See Is What You Get experience while composing the message. You can copy, paste, apply fonts, sizes, colors and insert images.
If you are not sure how your e-mail is going to look, press the Preview button. After you reviewed the final output, you can continue editing by pressing Edit button or if you decide your message looks good, press the Send button.
Using mail attachments
Mail messages can have attachments. Use the Manage link in the Attachments field while composing the message. This action will pop up a small window and you can upload files from your computer's hard disk to the message you are composing.
It's simple, just browse your computer, select up to three files per upload and press the Upload & Delete button. Files will transfer from your local computer to our servers and link to the current mail message. After you upload some files, these files will appear in the same window. If you later decide to delete them, just click on the checkbox and press the Upload & Delete button to delete them.
Using mail templates
Marketing Mailer has a useful feature called templates. You can apply a graphic template to the messages you compose by selecting from the Template field in the Compose window. Please note that templates must be installed for this to work.
The Preview feature comes in handy because you can see the look & feel of the message before it is sent. From the Preview window, you can go back and continue editing the message, and perhaps, change the template and review the message again.
Using mail images
Image Manager:
You can insert images (gif, jpg, png) into the editor through the Image Manager.

The Asset Browser has advanced image Insertion & updating features. This allows you to easily update the image properties, including: border, width, height, alt, align, vspace, and hspace.
Administration
Marketing Mailer is easy to administer. You can manage subscribers, templates, categories and images.
Categories
Click on the Categories button from the main navigational bar at the top. You will see a list of categories and you can add, edit or delete categories.

Each category has the following fields:
Edit a Category
To edit an existing record, select the category you want to edit and select the “Edit” button to the right of the category. When you have completed all of the fields and validated that the information is correct, click on the “Edit” button to save the changes and update the category. To delete a category, select the “delete” button. When you decide to delete a category, you will be asked to validate the deletion before the category is deleted.

Add a new record or category
To add a new category is very similar to the process of editing an existing record. Both actions provide access to a window with the data fields necessary to add or edit a category. To add a new record, simply click on the “Add New Record.”

Subscribers
To manage the subscribers function, you must select “Subscribers” .Selecting this button provides you with the following window.

This page displays the following fields:
Subscriber ID: This is a system generated number that identifies each specific subscriber within your website.
First Name: This is the name of the subscriber that identifies each specific subscriber within your website.
Last Name: This is the last name of the subscriber.
Country: This is the country of the subscriber.
Phone:This is the phone number of the subscriber.
E-mail address: This option displays the e-mail addresses for each subscriber within your website.
Edit/Delete: These two buttons provide you with the navigation to either “edit” or “delete” an existing category.
Add New Record: This button takes the administrator to the webpage which provides the ability to create a new subscriber.
To add a new record, simply click on the “Add New Record.” When you have completed all of the fields and validated that the information is correct, click on the “Create” button to save the changes and to create a new subscriber.
To edit an existing subscriber, select the subscriber you want to edit and select the “Edit” button at the bottom of the page. When you have completed all of the fields and validated that the information is correct, click on the “Edit” button to save the changes and update the subscriber information.

Delete a subscriber
To delete a subscriber, select the “delete” button. When you decide to delete a category, you will be asked to validate the deletion before the category is deleted as shown below.

Message Log
Marketing Mailer holds a log of sent messages. Click “Message Log” to see the entire log. You can delete log entries if you wish to do so by clicking on the Delete icon. Through the Message Log function you will see the following window:

Log ID: This is a system generated number that identifies each specific email sent within your website to any subscriber.
Creation Date: This displays the date of the email creation for a specific subscriber within your website.
Template: This option displays the template that was used for that specific email.
Subject: This is the subject that was used when creating the email message.
View|Delete: These two functions provide you with the navigation to either “view” or “delete” an existing message log.
View message log

To view an existing message log, select the message you want to view and select the “View” button. And the above window will appear with the email information that includes:
Images – Use the Image Manager to manage images for the IMM. Through this page you can add, delete or select the images you want to manage for your emails.

Delete existing images: To delete an existing image, place a checkmark in the box next to the image selected for deletion. Then select the “Upload & Delete” button on the bottom of the page. The image is then deleted from the server.
Upload images: You may upload up to three new images at a time. To upload an image, select one of the three “Browse” buttons. See the example below. Browse your PC to find the appropriate image (make sure you have named the image for easy identification). Once you have found the desired image, select the appropriate file into the “File Name” box and select the “Open” button. The image file path name will appear next to the “Browse” button for validation. When you have selected up to three images, select the “Upload & Delete” button to upload the images to the host server.
Note: you may delete images and upload images at the same time.
